In this video i am going to show you how-to install the latest cinnamon desktop on Ubuntu 14.04.

Commands

Open a terminal

Add the cinnamon nightly ppa

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly

Add the numix ppa

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa

Update your package list

sudo apt-get update

Install cinnamon

sudo apt-get install cinnamon

Install the numix themes

sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme numix-icon-theme numix-icon-theme-circle

reboot

In the login screen change your desktop to cinnamon

Install the cinnamon numix theme

Set the numix themes

Change the menu icon
